This visual stunning natural playspace is the first of the three stage Olinda Precinct Project. This project is a great investment by the Yarra Ranges Council for the people of Olinda, providing a wide range of social and health benefits to the whole community.
We collaborated with Fitzgerald Frisby Landscape Architecture to supply and install two custom sized swing frames, both designed by Lappset’s MyDesign Department. The Junior height basket swing has a standard rubber seat and basket seat and then the higher basket swing frame comprises two bench seats and one high back inclusive seat. Both swing frames have a special custom tyre swing design from Germany for the seats, rather than the traditional birds nest baskets. The frames were from the Lappset Finno range, however are finished in natural timber, which will grey over time for a nice soft neutral look.
