MDG teamed up with us to create a one-of-a-kind rocket ship play tower for Nova Park at Villawood’s Armstrong Mount Duneed. The challenge? We needed to achieve a special design while keeping costs and lead times manageable.
This presented an opportunity to showcase the versatility of our partner Lappset’s modular system – using familiar elements in a fresh and exciting way. By creatively reimagining standard components, we crafted a seemingly non-modular, impressive 6.1-meter tall rocket ship. For added height and impact, it’s positioned on a 1.6-meter embankment within the popular park.
While inspired by the Finno range, the clever design creates the illusion of a much less modular structure. Space-themed play panels are incorporated along the lower section on the lead up to the rocket for younger explorers.
The colour scheme complements the design, with a bold yellow contrasted by sleek charcoal. This combination creates a visually striking play experience for children of all ages.
