The Dominic College expansion, in collaboration with JHL and Inspiring Places, aimed to create a vibrant and engaging learning environment that extends beyond the classroom walls. The designers envisioned a “learning landscape” where outdoor spaces play a crucial role. They believe successful campuses are built around these environments, fostering social interaction, play, and even formal education. The Fairy’s Circus, chosen for this project, perfectly embodies this philosophy.
This social play structure, part of Lappset’s Nature Play range, offers a variety of climbing challenges and a hammock-like lounging area. The design caters to all abilities, with two nets featuring tighter mesh for easier climbing and resting. The eight triangular nets provide different climbing levels, ranging from 350mm to 1550mm, while some posts even have branch-like structures for added excitement. The Fairy’s Circus is a beloved feature of the Dominic College expansion, encouraging students to explore and play together.
