Civic Park in Pendle Hill has undergone a significant $15 million redevelopment, jointly funded by Cumberland City Council and the NSW Government’s WestInvest program.
Lark Industries was engaged by Tract Consultants to provide accessible play equipment that delivers both inclusivity and a striking visual impact within the new nature playspace. A key objective was to introduce a large-scale play structure that offers elevated views across the park and city.
The design adhered to the NSW Everyone Can Play Guidelines, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in both the Fairy’s Treehouse from our partner Lappset’s Flora timber range and complementary equipment selections.
Key features include:
- Accessible stairways leading to double-wide slides, allowing for inclusive play experiences.
- An immersive, interactive tag game that encourages exploration throughout the tower structures and surrounding landscape.
- An accessible seesaw designed for children of all abilities from our partner Recreology.
- A non-verbal communication tool, enabling children to interact and engage without the need for speech.
This revitalised nature playspace enhances recreation and social interaction, providing a welcoming environment for children and families of all abilities.
