This concept is a direct representation of a client’s design and brief, down to the size, appearance, proportion, materiality, and play inclusion, and is a fantastic indication of what is achievable from our German partners Spiel-Bau.
Specialising in stainless steel fabrication, Spiel-Bau has designed the structure to stand at almost 25m in length, 6m in height, and over 10m in width, once you reach the oversized upper lever, equipped with large circular netting.
The design provides an accessible bridge/viewpoint across the wider playspace and allows access to the large upper viewing deck.
A circular detail was used across multiple layers, each providing varied access points and play engagement. Given the length of the bridge at almost 12m, and a large amount of real estate underneath, play value is maximised below the bridge with varied climbing challenges and junior elements at lower levels.
