This design was unofficially called the Barn and Silo, as the brief was exactly that – to design a cylindrical silo structure with adjoining barn.
The Silo includes varied climbing alternatives, multiple layers and two slides. Standing at 7m in height and an overall diameter of 4m, the silo provides enough play area for a large number of children across two levels, including the climbing area underneath.
It incorporates two slides; one a spiral tube from the upper level and a second open wavy slide with easier access for younger users.
Connecting to the silo is a barn structure to act as a shelter and chillout zone. It includes bench seating, sensory play elements, and a subsequent embankment slide.
